We are located in Yucca Valley, CA, 37 miles north of Palm Springs, and approximately 2 hours east of Los Angeles. The zip is 92284. When ready to ship, contact me and I will send you the complete shipping address. Please pack the amp well, as I will use the same box and packing to return it to you, provided that it meets FedEx's packing standards. If not, I can have my shipper repack the amp...15.00 for small box heads (JTM45, 1987X), and 19.00 for large box heads (1959SLP, 2203, 2204, 2210). My shipper will also add an extra box around the existing one, if needed, for 15.00. A great way to pack an amp is to simply wrap it in bubble wrap, then place it in the box. Make sure the bubble wrap is at least 3-4" thick all around the amp...in other words, make it into a big pillow. The thicker, the better. Many of the newer reissues seem to have more fragile head boxes, especially on the bottom finger joints. Having it wrapped this way will enable it to withstand a shock without any damage. The ends of the amp are where it's most important to use adequate packing. I have excellent luck using Fed Ex, Fed Ex Ground, as well as USPS. I do not recommend using UPS. Should something happen, FedEx will only pay the insured amount IF the amp was packed correctly. You may want to remove the tubes and wrap them in bubble wrap, then place them inside the rear of the amp so they don't get jarred in shipping and go bad. As long as there is at least 3-4" of decent bubble wrap between the amp and the outside world, your amp should arrive here in fine condition. Along with your return address, I also will need your phone number, FedEx requires it from me to ship it back to you. I use FedEx Ground to return it to you, unless you want to pay for faster service. You can visit the site http://www.fedex.com to figure shipping costs and find out more about packing requirements. I do require payment before the amp is returned, and sometimes at least partial payment before the work has begun, depending on the amp and the work involved. You can send a money order, use a bank transfer (I have an account set up for this) or pay me through my PayPal account (add 2.9%), just email me for my PayPal ID. Many people simply send a money order with the amp to cover the cost of the work and shipping. If you overpay the shipping, I will send you the difference back.
