I offer handwired, point-to-point Plexi Style amps using top notch parts and components such as Heyboer, ARS, Metropolis, F&T, Weber, Sozo, as well as my own specialized goodies. Each amp is custom built to the client's needs and include a Mod I or  Mod I PLUS design. Also included is an Output Level control (Wife Knob) that allows you to get "that sound" at any level. Think of a Mod I as a glorified plexi. The amp retains a plexi-style architecture and signal path, while improvements in component value and composition give it an extremely musical sound and feel, with fantastic harmonic content and clarity at the same time. The Mod I has been my most requested build design on custom amps, as well as on amp modifications. Add a couple of push/pull options, and will have an amp that will do cleans, blues, and classic rock up through sustaining brown tones.

The Mod I PLUS has everything that the Mod I has, with the added feature of two additional higher gain levels, with no compromise to the Mod I. Engaging the PLUS mode places both channels in series, in addition to switching some internal components, to give you two more levels of additional gain, that stay extremely musical. Many clients had asked me about a higher gain option on a Mod I style amp that they could use some of the time, without any compromise at all to the Mod I itself. Hence, the Mod I PLUS was designed and brought to life.

Bray 45 custom Plexi Style head: Based off of the JTM 45 produced in the sixties, this amp features a slightly cleaner and more mid focused sound, due to it's lower B+ voltage, tube rectifier, lower power filtering, and higher primary impedance on the output transformer. Bray 50 custom Plexi Style head : A superior version of the famed 50 watt plexi, custom built for a variety of sounds including tight classic rock tones, “brown” sounds, on up through higher gain aggressiveness. For instance, buying one of these with a custom Mod 1 and a few push/pull options will get you both classic and brown, while adding the PLUS option will get you the even hotter higher gain sounds. Bray 4550 custom Plexi Style head: This has become my best-selling amplifier. All the tone of the Bray 50, with the addition of a 5AR4 tube rectifier for even more bounce as well as flexibility. I can send you a solid state plug-in rectifier with it, too, if you like. A Bray Mod 1 PLUS, Vintage/Hot Switch, Harmonic Switch, and High Cut on this amp is really amazing. Small-Box head cabinet. Bray 100 custom Plexi Style head: For those needing serious power and headroom. Think of it as a Bray 50 with way more power. Custom built how you want.
